A Simple Cleaning Routine for Your Feeding Station

A shared feeding station is easier to live with when cleanup fits into your normal meal routine. With Temora Vision, the key is separating the removable food-contact parts from the electronic controller. Wash what touches the food, keep the electronics dry, and put everything back only when it is ready for the next meal.
Clear the bowls after each meal
Remove leftover food before adding a fresh serving. A quick top-up may be convenient, but it leaves yesterday's residue beneath today's meal. Pay attention to the corners of each bowl and any food around the feeding opening.
The FDA's pet-food handling guidance recommends washing bowls and feeding utensils with soap and hot water after each use. It also recommends promptly refrigerating or discarding leftover canned or pouched food. Follow the food maker's storage directions, and wash your hands before and after handling pet food.
Wash the removable food-contact parts
Disconnect the feeder from power before taking it apart. Remove the electronic controller as shown in the instructions, then separate the washable food-contact parts. Keep the controller, power cord, and adapter away from the sink.
Temora Vision's removable stainless steel bowls are dishwasher-safe. If you prefer washing them by hand, use soap and hot water, rinse thoroughly, and leave them to dry completely. Water-washable removable food-contact parts can also be rinsed and cleaned according to the product instructions.
Use a soft cloth or sponge rather than steel wool, metal kitchen tools, or abrasive cleaning materials. Check for food caught along the edges before you finish. A brief rinse alone should not replace the bowl-washing step.
Keep the controller out of the water
Wipe the electronic controller with a soft, damp cloth. Do not rinse, immerse, or put it in the dishwasher. The same cleaning method does not apply to every part of the feeder: washable bowls and electronics need different care.
Check that the camera area is clear of food residue or smudges. Keep the feeder on a stable, dry indoor surface, and wipe up nearby spills. A clean approach area makes daily care easier without changing the feeding settings your cats already know.
Dry, reassemble, and check the next meal
Let washed parts dry completely before putting them back. Refit the controller following the assembly instructions and confirm that the parts are properly seated before reconnecting power. Never reconnect the feeder while electrical components are wet.
Use this short check before the next serving:
- Bowls are clean, rinsed, and completely dry.
- The controller has stayed out of water.
- Removable parts are correctly reassembled.
- The next meal and its cat assignment match your plan.
