PawBallet Privacy Policy
Application Name: PawBallet
Latest Version Update Date: October 26, 2026
Effective Date: October 26, 2026
1. General Provisions
1. [Policy Validity] This "Privacy Policy" (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") is formulated by MMDL STAR LLC (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the PawBallet mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "PawBallet" or the "APP"), to clarify the rules for our collection, storage, use, sharing, transfer, protection and processing of your personal information, pet-related data, and third-party account information (including Google account data). This Policy explains our information practices and your choices. Using the APP does not replace any separate permission or consent required by applicable law.
2. [Scope of Application] This Policy applies to all information processing activities involved in PawBallet and related smart pet services, including but not limited to information processing behaviors generated during your use of the APP to bind pet cat face recognition feeders and pet cat face recognition litter boxes (hereinafter collectively referred to as "bound devices"), manage feeding plans, track pet health, and log in via third-party accounts such as Google Sign-In. For information processing rules of third-party services (such as third-party SDKs), please refer to their separate privacy policies.
3. [Definition Explanation] "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to an individual or household. "Sensitive Personal Information" has the meaning given by applicable law. Pet recognition data is protected under this Policy and may be personal information when linked to you; a pet's facial features are not, by themselves, human biometric identifiers; "Google User Data" refers to user profile information accessed from Google APIs (such as email address, user ID, and profile name); "Pet-related Data" refers to data related to pet identity, behavior and device interaction.
2. Information Collection and Acquisition
(1) Information You Voluntarily Provide
1. [Registration and Account Information] When you register and log into PawBallet, you can register via email address, or authorized third-party authentication services, including Google sign-in and Apple ID sign-in. When you choose to sign in with your Google Account, upon your explicit authorization via the Google OAuth consent screen, we collect your Google Account ID, display name, email address, and profile picture URL. We use this data solely to verify your identity, create and associate your PawBallet account, and enable secure one-click login. If you register via email address, we will collect your email address, avatar and nickname, etc., for creating and managing your exclusive account.
2. [Pet Information] To realize the cat face recognition function of the device, you need to actively upload pet facial images. We will extract pet cat face feature data; you can also voluntarily provide pet name, breed, age and other information to optimize the service experience.
3. [Device Binding Information] When you bind a device, you need to provide the device serial number, model and other information. We will associate and store your account and device information to realize the device management function.
(2) Information We Automatically Collect
1. [Device Information] To ensure the normal operation of services, we will collect information about your mobile device and bound devices, including mobile device model, operating system version, unique device identifier (such as IMEI, OAID), MAC address, software list, as well as the operating status, device settings and usage logs of bound devices.
Access to mobile-device information is subject to operating-system restrictions and any notice or permission required by applicable law.
2. [Location and Network Information] When you bind a device, we may collect the IP address and WiFi access point information of your mobile device; if you authorize location permission, we will obtain the approximate location of the device to optimize device network connection and service adaptation.
3. [Usage Data] During your use of the APP and device, we will automatically record relevant data, including feeding plan settings, feeding records, litter box usage frequency and duration, device failure information, APP operation logs, etc.
4. This application will call your relevant device permissions through uniApp. The specific permissions and usage purposes are as follows: Location permission: Used to obtain the network environment of your device (such as WiFi-related information) to ensure the implementation of basic network interaction functions of the application. Audio permission: Used to support voice interaction functions between you and the device to ensure the normal transmission and recognition of voice commands. Album permission: Used to provide you with pet front photo upload service to meet your usage needs of relevant functions in the application.
You can manage these permissions in your phone settings. Refusing or withdrawing a permission may affect the related function. For supported viewing, recording, or voice functions, we process the photos, video, or audio needed for the function; these may include people and household surroundings. Phone permissions and connected-device camera or microphone controls are separate.
(3) Processing Permitted by Law
Where applicable law permits processing without consent, we may process information as reasonably necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or security incidents, or provide the services you request. We do not rely on these purposes to bypass any notice, consent, or opt-out requirement that applies to the processing.
3. Use of Information
1. [Core Service Implementation] To verify user identity and maintain secure login states via email authentication or Google Sign-In; to use pet cat face recognition data for pet identity verification to ensure accurate feeding by the feeder and accurate statistics of litter box usage data; use device information and usage data to realize functions such as device binding management, status monitoring and fault reminders.
2. [Service Optimization and Upgrade] Analyze the usage of the APP and device, optimize interface interaction, function design and device performance, and improve service stability and user experience.
3. [Security Protection] Identify abnormal logins and operations through device information, login IP addresses, operation logs and other data to prevent security risks such as account theft and device tampering.
4. [Personalized Services] Push personalized notifications such as feeding reminders and litter change suggestions based on your usage habits and pet data.
5. [Legal Requirements] Use relevant information within the scope stipulated by laws and regulations or required by competent authorities in accordance with the law.
4. Special Handling of Sensitive Personal Information
1. [Protection of Cat Face Recognition Data] We treat pet cat face recognition data as confidential pet recognition information. We only use it for pet identity recognition and providing corresponding services. It is stored using end-to-end encryption technology, and the storage period does not exceed the necessary cycle for your use of the service.
2. [Separate Consent Mechanism] Before collecting pet cat face recognition data, we will separately explain to you the purpose, scope and use of the collection. We will only collect and process it after obtaining your explicit consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time through APP settings. After withdrawal, the relevant recognition functions will not be available, but it will not affect other non-related services.
5. Storage and Security of Information
1. [Storage Location and Period] Your personal information, Google user data, and pet-related data are stored securely on servers in compliance with applicable data protection laws. The storage period is the shortest time necessary to achieve the service purpose. When your PawBallet account is deleted, we will permanently delete or anonymize your personal and Google user data within 15 working days, except for limited records that applicable law requires or permits us to retain for legal compliance, security, or legal claims. Any retained records will be restricted to that purpose, and we will explain the applicable exception when responding to your request.
2. [Security Protection Measures] Adopt industry-standard security practices certified to ISO 27001 standards, encrypt data transmission via TLS/HTTPS, and implement access control for stored data; establish a personal data leakage emergency response plan. In case of leakage, we will immediately take remedial measures and notify affected users and the relevant regulatory authorities within 72 hours after becoming aware of a breach requiring notification, unless a delay is required by law. Any shorter applicable legal deadline will take priority.
3. [User Security Responsibility] You should properly keep your account password and device information. If you find account anomalies or information leakage, please contact customer service immediately, and we will assist in taking remedial measures.
6. Sharing and Transfer of Information
1. [Sharing Restrictions] We will not sell or rent your personal information and pet-related data. Limited sharing will only occur in the following circumstances:
(1) After obtaining your explicit consent, share with authorized third-party service providers, and the third parties must comply with this Policy and confidentiality agreements, and must not sell or rent the information or use it for their own unrelated purposes;
(2) Share necessary device failure data with device manufacturers for providing after-sales services for bound devices;
(3) Disclose in accordance with laws and regulations or mandatory requirements of competent authorities.
6.2 Public Announcement of Personal Information Collection and Use by Third-party SDKs
To ensure the normal implementation of relevant functions of this APP (such as quick account login, device identifier acquisition, etc.) and improve user experience, we will integrate third-party software development kits (SDKs). We only allow third-party SDKs to collect personal information necessary for implementing relevant functions, and have conducted strict verification and supervision of their information collection and use behaviors. The following is detailed information about the third-party SDKs integrated and announced this time. We will update this disclosure when our integrated SDKs or their information practices change.
6.3 Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use Compliance
1. [Limited Use Compliance Statement] PawBallet's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
2. [Permitted Purpose] We only access and use Google user data (specifically your Google Account ID, display name, email address, and profile photo received via Google Sign-In) to provide core user-facing features—namely, verifying user identity, creating and signing into your PawBallet account, and enabling secure management of smart pet devices. We never use Google user data for secondary or unrelated purposes.
3. [Strict Prohibition on Transfer and Sale] We do not transfer, distribute, or share Google user data with third parties, except: (1) as strictly necessary to provide or improve the core features of PawBallet with your explicit consent; (2) to comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements; or (3) as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with prior notification. We will never sell, rent, or trade Google user data to data brokers, advertisers, or any other third parties.
4. [Strict Prohibition on Advertising] We will never use, disclose, or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including personalized, contextual, interest-based, or retargeted advertising.
5. [Prohibition on AI/ML Model Training] We will never use Google user data to train, retrain, fine-tune, or improve generalized or foundational artificial intelligence (AI) and/or machine learning (ML) models.
6. [Restrictions on Human Access] We strictly prohibit human personnel or employees from reading or inspecting Google user data, unless: (1) we have obtained your prior explicit consent for specific technical troubleshooting; (2) it is strictly necessary for security purposes (such as investigating security bugs or abuse); (3) it is required to comply with applicable laws; or (4) the data is aggregated and completely anonymized for internal operations.
7. [Revoking Google Permissions] You maintain full control over your Google authorization. You can view, manage, or revoke PawBallet's access to your Google account at any time via the official Google Security Settings page at: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
7. Your Rights
1. [Information Query and Correction] You can query and modify your registration information, pet basic information and device binding information through the "My - Personal Information" page in the APP.
2. [Information Deletion and Withdrawal of Consent] You can apply to delete duplicate or incorrect information; for sensitive information such as pet cat face recognition data, you can separately withdraw consent. For third-party authorizations, you can disconnect accounts or revoke Google permissions via Google Security Settings.
3. [Account Cancellation] You can apply for account cancellation. After cancellation, we will delete or anonymize your information within 15 working days, subject to the limited retention exceptions in Section 5. You can initiate deletion through the account cancellation function in APP settings or email support@pawballet.com with the subject "PawBallet App Account Deletion". The email option is available even if you no longer have the APP. Signing out or uninstalling the APP does not itself delete your account.
4. [Complaints and Appeals] If you have objections to information processing, you can provide feedback through the "Contact Customer Service" function in the APP or via email at support@pawballet.com. We will reply within 15 working days; if you are not satisfied with the processing result, you can file a complaint with the regulatory authority.
8. Policy Changes and Notifications
1. We reserve the right to modify this Policy according to updates to laws and regulations or business adjustments. After modification, we will notify you through in-APP announcements, push notifications, etc.
2. We will provide notice of material changes and obtain consent before new processing where required by applicable law. Continued use alone does not replace legally required consent.
9. Others
1. For matters not covered in this Policy, applicable personal data protection laws and regulations shall apply.
2. If you have any questions or suggestions, you can contact us via email.
3. This Policy applies to the United States services from the effective date shown above.
10. Additional United States Privacy Information
1. [State Privacy Rights] Depending on your state and whether the relevant law applies, you may have rights to know and access the personal information we hold, receive a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and opt out of sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Our commitment not to sell or rent personal information or pet-related data applies to all users.
2. [Requests and Appeals] Submit requests through the APP or support@pawballet.com. We may verify identity or an authorized agent's authority using information reasonably necessary for that purpose. Where a right of appeal applies, reply to our decision or email us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject. You may also contact your state privacy regulator or attorney general. Nevada residents may send a request concerning the sale of covered information to the same email address. We respond within applicable legal deadlines, in addition to the service commitments stated in this Policy.
3. [Children] The APP is intended for adult account holders and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support@pawballet.com so we can investigate and take any deletion or other action required by law.
4. [Online Privacy Choices] Where applicable law requires us to honor an opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will do so for the processing covered by that requirement. Browser Do Not Track settings do not replace the APP and device permissions described in this Policy. Third-party services and SDKs process information for the purposes identified in Section 6; a separate website may have its own privacy and cookie notice.
5. [Processing Locations] Information may be processed where we and our service providers operate, including outside the United States, subject to applicable privacy and security safeguards. The purposes, disclosure limits, and no-sale and no-rental commitments in this Policy continue to apply.
